What do you want to do?
There are three levels in which I would enjoy working:
- Systems Developer
- Software Developer
- Web Developer
What is your favorite programming language?
This is a tough question, because there are different situations for different languages. Overall, I prefer C#. Developing in C# is much faster, and much easier to debug. However, there are times when I just want a quick script to rename files or something, for which a scripting language or even a batch file is superior.
What is your work style?
I consider myself a self-motivated developer. Sometimes I like to fully analyze a problem before coding it. Sometimes I find it easier to start coding to help understand a problem. I also love working in small teams, because I believe that is the best way to mature as a developer.
Every situation is different. I like to write modular code to save time on future projects which share similarities to previous ones.
What is your past experience?
- Ruby/Rails (recent)
- Oracle 1 year
- AJAX ~1 year
- C++ ~1 year
- Python ~1 year
- jQuery 1.5 years
- ASP.NET 1.5 years prof, 1 year academic
- C# 1.5 years prof, 2 years academic
- SQL Server 1.5 years prof, 2 years academic
- PHP: ~2-3 years
- MySQL ~2-3 years
- CSS: ~7-8 years
- HTML: ~10 years
What are your career goals?
I want to grow as a developer, both professionally and personally. I would like a position which encourages working on side projects, creativity, learning new languages, and exploring new technologies. I would like to play a larger role in the design and development of new technologies.
What do you want to make?
Beautiful, clean code.
Why should we hire you?
Because I am a cool guy who gets things done: I know what I'm doing, and I'm good at what I do. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
